Mary Health of the Sick Hospital first opened its doors on June 20, 1964. Since its inception, Mary Health has served the needs of over 1,400 residents.

The Servants of Mary, Ministers to the Sick, who own and operate the hospital, believe love and tenderness, given without thought of material reward, have an infinite power to heal, a power often transcending mere pills and bandages. Their mission is to provide the highest level of long-term care in Southern California. They’re dedicated to helping in the personal life transition of the residents and their families in a spirit and expression of love and concern.

This love is reflected in the quality of life given to all residents.

A COMFORTABLE LIVING
The name of the hospital,
Mary Health of the Sick, represents, “Mary,” the patroness of the congregation of the Servants of Mary, Ministers to the Sick. “Health of the Sick” comes from one of the titles given to the Blessed Mother during the recitation of the rosary.

The Sisters, who are licensed nurses, staff and volunteers strive to provide a comfortable home-like environment to 61 individuals of all faiths and beliefs. It is a long-term care facility, offering 24 hour skilled nursing care with a high ratio of nurses to residents. It is Medicare and MediCal certified. Accommodations include semi-private rooms, private rooms and two 4-bed rooms.

The 36,650-square-foot hospital sits on eight acres of landscaped grounds, complete with Koi ponds, waterfalls, flowerbeds, lots of towering trees and a panoramic view of rolling hills.

Mary Health is fortunate to have a Board of Regents consisting of various members of the community to assst the Sisters with strategic issues and fund development relating to the hospital.
