Mary Health Earns Honors – US News and World Report 2011 Best Nursing Homes

Of more than 15,500 nursing homes across the country, Mary Health of the Sick was among 18 nursing homes that made the US News and World Report 2011 Honor Roll for Best Nursing Homes. This recognition is based on receiving four straight quarters of perfect five-star ratings as designated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS bases its five-star ratings on health inspections, nursing home staffing, and quality measures.

The Sisters, Servants of Mary, staff, and partnering health care providers are gratified to earn this high recognition for excellence in quality of care. We are also are grateful to the many donors, volunteers, community businesses, and foundation partners who contribute and support the Servants of Mary and their sacred mission in delivering the highest level of long term care to deserving elderly women and men in our community.

We are located in Newbury Park, California. Mary Health of the Sick is a non-profit, non-sectarian hospital offering 24-hour skilled nursing care to the sick and elderly, no matter the residents’ religious beliefs or financial status. Since 1964 when Cardinal McIntyre asked the Sisters to construct the hospital and expand their mission in the Greater Los Angeles area, Mary Health of the Sick has provided loving, compassionate care to over 1,600 women and men in the final stages of life.
